Biography
Boozhoo giinawaa!
My professional mission is to build bridges between people and the forest to foster conservation and community. Growing up in the north woods of Minnesota instilled a deep love and appreciation of nature within me. I am honored to teach about plants, animals, and their interconnection with the land, water, and our communities. Before coming to the tribal college, I spent six years working and studying in the area’s forests. My past research includes assessing the impacts of timber harvest on the abundance and diversity of small mammals, and ground-truthing the effectiveness of using LiDAR imagery to monitor forest stand inventories.
